Create Your Menu
Option A — AI Scan: Upload photos of your existing paper menu (JPG, PNG, HEIC). The AI extracts categories, item names, prices, and descriptions automatically. You review and edit the extracted menu before publishing.
Option B — Manual Build: Create your menu from scratch using the menu builder. Add categories, items, prices, descriptions, and menu attributes by hand.
Whether you scan or build manually, you can always edit every detail before and after publishing.
Step 2
Add Food Images
Upload your own food photography for each menu item, or use the integrated AI food image generation to create professional-looking images for items that need them. Generated images are visual representations and may not exactly match the actual dish — your own photos are always recommended where available.

Choose Your Design
Choose from 5 premium design templates, each with a distinct style:

Step 4
Publish Once, Update Anytime
Publishing creates a live web menu with a permanent URL and downloadable QR code. Print the QR code and place it on tables, counters, or signage.
When you update prices, items, descriptions, images, or any other menu information, the live menu updates automatically. Normal menu content updates do not require replacing or reprinting your QR code — customers scan the same code and always see the latest menu.

Customers can also filter by available menu attributes that the restaurant has defined, such as Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Spicy, High Protein, Low Carb, Kids, Dinner, Popular, and more.
Available filters depend on what attributes the restaurant defines for its menu items.

Ask the AI AssistantUltra
On menus with the AI Assistant enabled, customers can open the chat and ask questions in normal language. Examples:

AI Assistant
An AI Assistant that works from your actual menu
Unlike a generic chatbot, the Scascan AI Assistant receives the restaurant's published menu information and uses it to answer customer questions. It is designed to recommend items that actually exist on that restaurant's menu — not generic suggestions from the internet.

How it responds
When a customer asks for multiple requirements — for example, “Show me a spicy, high-protein, gluten-free dinner” — the assistant looks for menu items that have those relevant properties based on what the restaurant has provided.
If the menu does not specify a property, the assistant should say that the menu does not specify it rather than inventing an answer.
