Why Use Our Image Resizer?
Aspect Ratio Lock
Automatically calculate the proportional width or height to avoid image distortion when resizing.
100% Private
Images are resized locally in your browser using JavaScript. No uploads to any server, guaranteeing privacy.
High Quality
Uses advanced browser-based Canvas rendering to ensure your images stay crisp and clear even when downscaling.
Resize an image by pixels
This image resizer changes the pixel width and height of a whole photo. Type the width, the height, or both. Leave “Maintain aspect ratio” on if you want the other side calculated for you, so the picture is not stretched.
Download PNG, or JPEG with a quality setting. The work happens in your browser. One image at a time. Dimensions are pixels, not centimetres or inches.
How to resize an image
- Open a photo from your device.
- Enter the width and height in pixels. Turn aspect ratio lock off only when you want to stretch the image.
- Choose PNG, or JPEG and a quality percentage.
- Resize, check the preview, and download.
Resize, crop, or compress
Resizing scales every pixel. It does not cut a region out of the photo. To keep one part of the picture and discard the rest, use the photo cropper.
A smaller pixel size often makes a smaller file, and JPEG quality changes the file size too, but this page does not target a file size in KB. For that, use the image compressor.
Typing a larger width only stretches the pixels you already have. It does not invent detail. Enlarging a photo is the image upscaler.
Questions
Can I set the width and height in pixels?
Yes. Both fields are pixel values. With aspect ratio lock on, editing one side updates the other.
Can I resize a JPG or PNG?
Yes. Open either, then download PNG or JPEG. JPEG has a quality slider. Other image types the browser can open may work as well.
Can I resize to a file size in KB, or to centimetres?
No. This tool sets pixel dimensions. It does not accept centimetres, inches, or a target size such as 100 KB. Use the image compressor when the goal is a smaller file.
Can I resize several images at once?
No. Open and resize one image at a time.
