What is Hidden Photo Data?
Invisible & automatic
Every time you take a photo, your device automatically embeds hidden data — called metadata or EXIF data — into the image file. This happens silently, without any indication to the user. Our photo metadata viewer makes it all visible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does my photo get uploaded to your server?
Never. Every scan and cleaning operation runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your image data never leaves your device. This image privacy scanner is 100% client-side.
What metadata does this photo metadata viewer remove?
All of it — EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, ICC, JFIF thumbnails, MakerNotes, and any hidden thumbnail data. The canvas-based re-encode outputs pure pixel data with zero metadata.
Does removing metadata affect image quality?
No. The pixel content is identical. The output is saved as a lossless PNG, so there is no quality reduction from re-encoding.
Can I remove GPS location from an image?
Yes. The EXIF data scanner detects GPS latitude, longitude, altitude, and timestamp. Clicking 'Remove All Metadata' strips the GPS location from the image completely.
